Suckers - Chinese Braille

Today, Suckers' sophomore album Candy Salad hits record stores! The trio has forged a more polished and cohesive sound with this album, versus the wild and sometimes uneven pace of their 2010 release, Wild Smile.  My favorite tracks off of Candy Salad include “Chinese Braille,” “Turn on the Sunshine,” and “Bricks to the Bones.”  You can stream the album in it’s entirety here.

Columbus can catch Suckers live at The Basement this Friday, May 4 with Detroit psych-pop band Turn to Crime

White Denim | The Basement | April 18, 2012 | Columbus, OH

I’m having some difficulty attempting to convey the phenomenal power of White Denim's performance at The Basment last night. They are four of the most skilled musicians I have ever seen.  My mind still has trouble comprehending the beautiful complexity of their music. Tempo and key changes from other worlds…

I expected a great show, and what I got was a powerful, inspiring, and brilliant experience. I’m still radiating the energy I absorbed from it!

I agree with JimmyWhite Denim may just be the greatest (and currently the most underrated) band of our generation.

JACK IN THE POCKET chats with BEAR IN HEAVEN

On Monday, I chatted with Adam Wills, guitarist of Bear in Heaven, about their upcoming album, tour and show in Columbus, OH this Friday at The Basement!

Words can’t express how excited I am to see them in concert again!
